Treant Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Treant website, treant.app, before launch: the waitlist and pilot program applications. Treant is run by its founders, David Zlatanoski and Ivica Petojevik, based in Slovenia ("we", "us"). Questions? Email privacy@treant.app.

What we collect

Sign-up form. We have one form for everyone. You choose whether you're interested in joining the waitlist or the pilot program, and give your full name, business email address and company website. We save these with the date you signed up. We only accept business emails, not personal ones like Gmail.

Analytics. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. It sees things like the page you opened, your browser and your country, but nothing that identifies you.

That's all. We don't collect payment details or anything else, and we don't track you across other sites.

How we use it

• To tell you when your spot opens and share launch news. Every email we send will have an unsubscribe link.
• To review pilot applications and contact your company about the pilot.
• To see which pages people visit, so we can make the site better.

Under the GDPR, we rely on your consent for the waitlist, the steps you asked us to take toward a pilot agreement for pilot applications, and our legitimate interest for anonymous analytics.

We don't sell your data, we don't use it for ads, and we don't use it to train AI models.

Where your data lives

We keep your sign-up details in our own database, not in a third-party waitlist tool. We use two providers to run the site, and they only process data on our behalf:

• Vercel hosts the website and provides the visit counts.
• Neon hosts our database, where sign-ups are stored in Frankfurt, Germany.

So your details stay in the EU. Both providers are US companies, so any access to them from the US is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. When we start sending emails, we'll add our email provider to this list before the first email goes out.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete your data, or to stop using it, at any time. Email privacy@treant.app and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner or the data protection authority in your country.

Retention and deletion

• Waitlist: until you unsubscribe, or 6 months after launch if you don't create an account.
• Pilot applications: 12 months after our last conversation, unless your company joins the pilot.

Cookies

The Treant website doesn't use cookies for tracking or advertising.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and we'll email waitlist members before any important change. Questions about your data go to privacy@treant.app.
